The White House National Security Adviser said that the United States is urging Ukrainian President Folodimir Zelinski to sign a deal on access to critical minerals in Ukraine. Zelensky refused the offer, saying: “I cannot sell our country.” The comments at the White House news briefing conference came shortly after Zelinski’s conclusion of a meeting with Trump’s Ukraine envoy in Kiev, saying he was ready to create an “investment and security agreement” with the United States to end the war.
