Corporate contributions to inaugural funds are not uncommon, with companies like Bank of America, Google, and Microsoft having done so for past presidential committees. Companies aren’t the only ones sending money to the committee for Trump’s inauguration on January 20.

FOX News Digital reported in mid-December that Sam Altman, CEO of ChatGPT maker OpenAI, had plans to introduce it. The donation was reportedly valued at $1 million.

Another technology executive – Apple’s Tim Cook – made a contribution of this size, according to Axios. FOX Business has reached out to Apple for comment.
