Travis Kelce The NFL is keeping its head in the game after its team’s first loss of the season.
Kelce, 35, and the Kansas City Chiefs were defeated 21-30 by the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Nov. 17, on the Bulls’ home turf. During the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast with Bro Jason KelceTravis weighed in on what the Chiefs are taking away from the disappointing result.
“The Bulls played a great four-quarter game of football. … It was all over the board,” the tight end said Wednesday, Nov. 20.[We’re going] Definitely go back to the drawing board. I think it was a good — I don’t want to call it a wake-up call because we went into that game knowing the Bulls were one of the top teams in the NFL. Sometimes you need a different perspective on things.”
He continued, “Looking back at this game, you see a trend over the last three to four weeks. You just have to fix things. Get back to basics, get back to basics and Really come back to work all week. I have all the confidence in the world. [that] We’ll be better because of this game, but at the same time, kudos to the Bulls for showing up.”
Before Sunday’s loss, the Chiefs were undefeated all season with nine wins under their belt. Jason, 37, acknowledged the Chiefs defense “didn’t play bad,” but the Bulls were able to make “plays at the right time” to secure the win.
“[Quarterback] enthusiasm [Allen] Well played,” Jason said. “It was two really good teams going against each other.”
Jason praised the Chiefs QB. Patrick Mahomes And the coach Andy Reid How he responded to questions about the team’s now unbeaten streak after Sunday’s game. Both noted in postgame press conferences that going undefeated wasn’t the team’s ultimate goal, and Travis agreed.
“You don’t think, ‘Oh, I really want to win this game so I can go undefeated,'” he explained. “No, we want to win this game because we have a lot of close football games against the Buffalo Bills and we like going against them because they’re one of the best teams in the league. … I’m the best in the National Football League. I get fired playing against teams, and I get fired because of it and I don’t play my best game and it bothers me.”
The loss to the Bills made Travis “want to go back to work the Monday after the game and go after that.” He promised Chiefs fans that the team will try to turn things around before taking on the Carolina Panthers this week.
“I think that’s something you’re not going to see out of us in the future,” he said. “I think we’re very confident that we’re going to get things right. We’ve got all the talent that we need to win another Super Bowl. … And I think everybody knows that. We just have to We have to do our best and that’s what we haven’t been for four quarters.
Travis admitted that the Bulls were “fundamentally stronger in a lot of different areas” than his own team. He added, “You know, I put it on myself throughout practice to lay down the basics, make sure I’m getting out there and I’m running around, I just Not going through dramas,” he added. “Make sure I’m focused, make sure I get the timing down with the quarterback … you know, a lot of that stuff is right.”
Despite not being 10-0 for the season, Travis insisted he has “all the confidence in the world” in his teammates. He continued, “I don’t give a — how your body feels, I don’t give a — where your mentality is off the field.” “When you walk into this building, we’re here to figure that out. And we’re here to get better as football players for the football team. … And I think that myself. Also, I have to be the leader that I have been in the past and hold myself accountable so that everyone can see how it’s done.
The Chiefs will travel to North Carolina to play the Panthers on Sunday, Nov. 24, and make a quick change for their next home game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday, Nov. 29. Taylor Swift Will attend any game in between. Era tour Schedule.)
