TikTok CEO responds to Trump and thanks him for trying to resolve the US ban

TikTok CEO Xu Ziqiu He responded In response to comments made by Donald Trump regarding Friday’s Supreme Court ruling banning the app in the United States

In a video posted on TikTok, Chiu said: “On behalf of TikTok and all of our users across the country, I want to thank President Trump for his commitment to working with us to find a solution that keeps TikTok in the United States. “This is a strong position on the First Amendment, which is arbitrary censorship.”

TikTok appears to be counting on Trump’s support to maintain the Chinese-owned platform’s legitimacy in the United States. Trump clearly wants everyone to view him as TikTok’s savior, as he posted on Truth Social that he is in talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping about finding a way to save the platform.

“We are grateful and thrilled to have the support of a President who truly understands our platform, a President who has used TikTok to express his own ideas and viewpoints, connecting with the world and generating over 60 billion views of his content in the process,” Chiu continued. “Rest assured, we will do everything we can to ensure our platform thrives…more to come.”

Earlier on Friday, the Supreme Court ruled that the TikTok ban will continue. Currently, it is uncertain whether TikTok will disable the app for users in the US this Sunday or if the app plans to wait and see if the Trump administration can negotiate a solution.

In the meantime, here are some TikTok alternatives you can check out.
