The commissioner and head of the US Federal Electoral Committee (FEC) Ellen Winterop said on Thursday that it had received a letter from US President Donald Trump claiming to launch it but added that the procedure is illegal.

“There is a legal way to replace the FEC Commissioners,” Winterop, a democracy, said, adding, “This is not so.”

FEC has more than 300 employees, with six commissioners at the top. Vice President of FEC, James Trinor, Republican.
Weintraub has worked as a FEC delegate since 2002, according to FEC. He says “It was a fixed voice for law enforcement intimate financing and strong examination.”
FEC Commissioners are appointed by the President and confirmed by the US Senate.
Under the law, more than three commissioners cannot represent the same political party, and at least four votes must be for any official committee, says FEC.
