Donald Trump has ordered his commercial advisers to reach a “mutual” tariff for American commercial partners to take revenge on taxes, definitions, regulations and subsidies in a step that could unleash the global trade war.
A senior White House official said that the definitions will be imposed on the basis of the “country separately” after the exam, and start with the countries that the United States enjoy with the highest commercial deficit.
The official said: “The definitions will be issued in” Trump Time “, which is what he says very quickly,” the official said. “These should be weeks, or within a few months,” he added.
The memo described Trump’s trade deficit as a threat to national security in the country, and to put the land to Trump to issue definitions without the need to go to Congress.
White House officials said the administration will use various legal powers to implement fees, including Article 301 of the Trade Law and the Economic Forces Law for International Emergency.
