Sara Deitri, the daughter of former President Rodrigo Duterti, was accused of misusing millions of dollars in public funds

The Philippine Parliament voted to isolate Vice President Sarah Dotrt after complaints about the alleged corruption.

Dotte was accused of misuse of millions of dollars in public funds The assassination of President Ferdinand “Boungong” threatens Marcus Junior.

She denied the charges and claimed to be a victim of political revenge.

The shock step is widely seen as an escalation of the bitter dispute Between Doterti and Marcus, which kept the nation on the edge of months.

Both of the Philippine political strains: she is the daughter of former President Rodrigo Deuttri, while he is the son of the late strong leader Ferdinand Marcos, the father.

A total of 215 out of 306 members of the House of Representatives for dismissal voted, which is much higher than the third threshold necessary for the draft law.

The draft law will now be heard by the 24 -member Senate, which will hold an isolation court.

If convicted, Dutete faces removal from its platform and it will be the first vice president in the Filipino history to be isolated.

He is expected to remain in his position until the Senate presents its ruling. An experimental date has not been set yet.

Dutete is widely seen as a potential successor to Marcus, who is not qualified to run again in 2028 as a constitution that limits presidents to a period of six years.

The dismissal would effectively prevent it from the presidency, as it will be banned permanently from the general position.

The move comes before the elections in the mid -term in May, which will be seen as a referendum of Marcus in the middle of his term in addition to the DUTERTE general support scale.

Dutete did not comment on the dismissal vote. But her older brother, who represents his hometown in Davao in Parliament, Paulo Deutri, said that the administration was “stepping on a dangerous land” with what he described as “a clear act of political persecution.”

Marcus also did not comment on the isolation of Dotte. In November, he said it would be a “time waste” for the legislators to dismiss it when it has more important work.

Since the end of the Ferdinand Marcus dictatorship and the restoration of democracy in 1986, only one president – Joseph Estrada was isolated in 2000, due to alleged corruption.

But his trial ended without a ruling after a popular revolution of power forced him in January 2001.

The trial of only one isolation reached a ruling, the former head of the Supreme Court, Renato Corona, who was convicted of corruption in 2012.

Both trials to drop Estrada and Corona have been a misfortune and disagreement for several months.

What is behind Marcus’s runner and dutati?

Dotter and Marcus presented a photo of the unit when they nominated the 2022 elections, describing themselves “unity”.

But the cracks began to appear even before they took office, when Dotte asked to deal with the defense portfolio in the cabinet in Marcus, but instead he became the Minister of Education.

The alliance was briefly after the assumption of power, as they continued their separate political agendas with a difference on decisive fronts such as diplomacy.

Their differences in the relationship of the Philippines to the United States and China have become more clear, as the meetings between the Philippine and Chinese ships in the disputed waters became more frequent.

Marcus prepared the Philippines to the United States, where the position of Dutti’s father, the supporter of Dinina, reflected.

He also promised a less violent approach against illegal drug rings, and contacted the “war on drugs” by Sheikh Dutti, who left more than 6000 suspects, according to government.

The lower parliament began for Parliament, with Marcus’ allies carrying power, then checking the requests of the Dotrt budget, especially its secret funds, which are not covered by government audits.

In July last year, she resigned from the Council of Ministers.

The dispute took a dramatic turn a few months later when Doterti said at a late night press conference, that she had “spoke to a person” to go “Marcus if assassinated.

She later said that she was not planning to assassinate the president and Marcus refused to threaten as “a storm in a cup of tea.”
