Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni visited the Pope in the hospital, as he was diagnosed with pneumonia in both lungs.
The 88 -year -old girl was accepted at Jimili Hospital in Rome on Friday with a respiratory infection.
Meloni said in a statement that she was “very happy with his presence in alert and fast response. We have always been joking as it is always. He did not lose the same sense of humor.”
It was offered best wishes for a quick recovery, on behalf of the Italian government and the entire country.
Earlier this week, the Vatican said that medical tests and X -rays on the chest showed a “complex picture”.
Pneumonia is a serious infection that can hit and regret the lungs, causing chest pain and making breathing more difficult.
The Vatican said in his last update on the validity of the fragile Pope that he was alert and had a breakfast.
A Vatican official said he was still able to get out of the bed and sit on a chair with an arms in the hospital room, and he was continuing to do some work.
The papal fans scheduled to be held on Saturday eliminated it and it is not good enough to attend the mass on Sunday.
Outside the hospital, the well -wishers and pilgrims continued to gather for prayer, light candles and write notes on encouragement.
