A $ 250 million bond judge put on Thursday to Michigan’s woman accused of leaving three children alone for years in a house where conditions were offensive to the extent that police guides technicians wore severe allowances.
Kelly Bryant, 34, shook her head sometimes during her first appearance in court on charges of abuse of children in Auckland Province. Her lawyer entered a non -guilty appeal on her behalf.
The police said that three children, between the ages of 15, 13 and 12 years, were removed last week from a house in Pontiac, where they lived alone since 2020 or 2021, amid garbage, stools and food drops at times on the balcony.
Defense lawyer Cecilia Kouingo-Bonso admitted “the very serious issue”, but said that Bryant was not a danger to society and could be released from prison with an electronic monitor.
However, Judge Ronda Gross has set exceptional cash bonds and said that Bryant was a “severe danger” for the audience.
The children were hiding when the police entered the house on Friday after a call from the owner, who had not been paid since October. The authorities said that the toilet did not succeed, and the stool was found in the pelvis and other places. Bryant was living elsewhere in Pontiac.
“There are many reasons that make them not leave the house,” said Prosecutor Karen McDonald. “We don’t know that yet.”
