On Saturday, Nov. 16, Lautner, 32, put his own spin on the viral trend by showing a TV screen playing TikTok. Twilight before the camera turns back on itself.
“Honestly screw Edward,” Lautner wrote on the video. “Bella should have ended up with Jacob.”
The camera then panned to Lautner, making it clear that he was the one who wrote the text. “Oh no no no,” she wrote, pretending to turn off her phone. “Oops,” she captioned the post.

Fans of the movies either sided with the werewolf Jacob (Lautner). Robert Pattinsonof vampire Edward Cullen, both vying for Stewart’s affections of Bella. Eventually, Bella and Edward end up together – while Jacob finds The One in the couple’s daughter, Renesmee.
Reflecting back on his on-screen love triangle, Lautner revealed in 2023 that the off-screen dynamic was challenging as well.
“I think it was difficult. I don’t know [Pattinson] But at least for me, … especially at the age I was,” Lautner said on an episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast. “Sometimes you get your feelings hurt when you don’t. It should be done, but sometimes it’s hard to do.”
During the heyday of the Twilight franchise, fans were constantly debating who was the better love interest for Bella Swan — vampire Edward Cullen and werewolf Jacob Black — and the battle quickly turned the actors themselves. He wrote, “I think it’s time to come clean…”
