Soni Nigam talks about Muhammad Rafi’s music.
Sonu Nigam Appreciated at the event Muhammad Rafi For actors to have the ability to adapt their voice to generations as he has sung for celebrities like Dilip Kumar, Johnnie Walker, Mahmood, Rishi Kapoor and many more. He also talked about Muhammad Rafi’s bhajan singing. Sonu Nigam was quoted as saying that when Muhammad Rafi sang bhajans, it felt like he had converted. He said that it felt like someone was singing a Hindu hymn. His quote reads, “When he sings the bhajan, it seems that some paka Hindu is singing, there are Muslims, there are men of prayer. Whose dharma change will happen to them? How could a Muslim change his religion while singing?” The quote has gone viral on entertainment news.
Sonu Nigam added that it is a big deal and not everyone can do it. He added that there are many singers who sing Sufi songs but are not able to sing bhajans. But Muhammad Rafi was different. He added that the legendary singer can sing Ramadan, Raksha Bandhan and even happy songs as well as sad songs. “There is nothing he hasn’t done. Yeh kon aadmi hai? (Who is this man?) He was a volcano, who only erupted at Mike,” added Sonu Nigam.
