The All-Posh D5 Essential Pan

Essential is one of our favorite pans. You could say it’s a must in the kitchen. We love that it works well for all kinds of tasks. Its tall walls prevent grease from splattering onto your countertop, and it can double as a flat-bottomed skillet or even a Dutch oven. It is also dishwasher safe.

If you tend to throw your stir-fried vegetables out of the frying pan, a deep saute pan is what you need. It has a large base for cooking, but high walls to keep your ingredients inside the pan and away from your stove. Plus, the sides are flat, so you can use them to your advantage if you’re flipping something with a spatula.

Everyone needs a good stainless steel skillet. This 10.5-inch pan isn’t huge, but it’s big enough to cook grilled cheese, chicken breast, or a few eggs. It’s not non-stick, which takes some getting used to — make sure your fat or oil is hot before adding food — but once you start cooking on stainless, you’ll Never want non-stick again. Good quality stainless provides even heat with fewer hot spots, and makes cooking easier once you get the hang of it.

AllClad’s melding of copper, aluminum, and 18/10 stick-resistant stainless makes it one of the best heat-conducting pans Wired reviewer Scott Gilbertson has used (apart from cast iron). He uses a smaller version for chutneys, boiling potatoes, making bourbon bacon bark and countless other tasks. It’s a kitchen workhorse. The included lid reduces evaporation (if you want).

This basket is fantastic for grilling items like asparagus or fruit. The bottom has perforations that allow smoky, charcoal-y goodness to flavor your food, without the risk of items falling while cooking. I like to take my car camping for exactly this purpose.

These little oval-shaped dishes are great for contributing to side dishes or individual servings, but if you’re like me and don’t have a microwave, they’re also fantastic for reheating leftovers on the stove or in the oven.

Imagine a world in which you cook your pasta and instead of running hot water to the sink, you simply lift the strainer. The world is a possibility with this multipot, which includes a straining basket that’s perfect for pasta or whipping up a stock without laboriously straining it afterward. Of course, the outer pot can be used without the strainer – perfect for when you’re making a big batch of soup this winter.

AllClad 5piece Measuring Cup Set

These measuring cups are extremely durable. Your grandchildren might benefit from them. I love that they are deep. When I’m adding a quarter cup of oil for a recipe, I don’t have to worry about steadying my hand as much as I do with a lighter, wider measuring cup. You can also snag an odd-sized set for the same price.

It’s almost that time of year. These turkey forks are perfect for your Thanksgiving bird, or any other large meat you may be roasting during the colder months. They’ll help you get a good grip and reduce the risk of spending six hours sniffing out amazing food only to accidentally drop it on the floor. Just keep an eye on these shipping times if you’re counting on getting it by a certain day.

Holiday cookie season is fast approaching. This bakeware set will help you whip up treats for all your neighbors, friends, and friends of neighbors. It comes with two cookie sheets and a wire cooling rack, so when you’re baking large batches, everything will have a chance to cool before decorating. I can attest to the non-stick power of the cookie sheets, and that coating makes them easy to clean.

This small grill pan is another useful winter staple. I understand that some of you may not be from Wisconsin, and therefore don’t want to step outside in the freezing cold for some food. A cast iron grill pan helps create those delicious marks, and it comes with an acacia wood trivet so you can serve food straight from the pan. There are also built-in pour spouts for draining excess fat.

Every mixing bowl in my house seems dirty when I need it most. This three-pack is attractive. It includes 1.5-quart, 3-quart, and 5-quart bowls, all of which have rolled rims for easy pouring. They also stack for easy storage.

This little pot is perfect for melting butter, heating syrup or making the world’s smallest souffle. It is induction compatible and oven safe up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. I don’t have a microwave, so I always wait on a double boiler to melt my butter. Maybe I need a small powerful pan in my kitchen.

This pan is extremely versatile and quite large, measuring approximately 19 inches by 15 inches. It’s oven and broiler safe up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit and is a great option for roasting turkeys, hams or a big pile of root vegetables.
