The American trial of the man accused of stabbing Sir Salman Rushdi will start two and a half years ago on Tuesday after he was delayed twice.
Hadi Mattar was accused of attempting to kill and attack the August 2022 attack, which left Mr. Rushdi blind in one eye.
Mr. Mattar, 27, acknowledged that he was not guilty of charges.
