Russell Dickerson teases life ‘in shambles’ after touring with kids

Russell Dickerson His hands are full with his wife, Kelly Dickersonand their two sons – but he wouldn’t change a thing.

“Life is just crazy,” Russell, 37, told Exclusively We weekly on the red carpet at the 2024 Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday, November 20 in Nashville.

The musician noted that his sons won’t always be able to tour, so he and Kelly, 34, took advantage this time. “We knew it was a really special time to take the boys out and see the world,” he added.

Russell explained that he is busy writing and recording “all the time” when he returns home. But when he’s on the road, he said that’s when they “get family time.”

For the country singer, it also means passing on his love of music to his children, especially his oldest.

“Remy loves the drum set. He’s like, ‘Can I come on stage with you? Can I sing with you?'” Russell recalled. “And I’m like, ‘ I mean, you can,’ like, he’s in his jammies and headphones and everything. It’s a ball. We are living the dream.”
