Rod Stewart shows no signs of slowing down.
The rock legend explained his plans after announcing his farewell tour.
“This will mark the end of extensive world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire,” he shared in a statement on social media. “I love what I do, and I do what I love.”

“I’m fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 meters in 18 seconds at 79 years old,” he continued on Instagram.
“This will be the end of massive world tours for me, but I have no desire to retire.”
Stewart revealed what’s on his music agenda for the coming years.
“I want to go on the Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour next year – smaller venues and more intimacy,” his post read.
He ended his message and wrote, “But then, I can’t…” as he signed off, “The Ambiguous Sir Rod Stewart.”

Earlier this month, the “Forever Young” singer shared tour dates for 2025 when he posted a flyer that read “one last time.” Rock band Cheap Trick is scheduled to join him on tour.
In August, Stewart postponed two shows just one day after canceling his 200th Las Vegas residency due to illness.

On August 7, just hours before taking the stage to end his 13-year residency in Las Vegas, the actor announced the cancellation of his show.

“I deeply regret missing this 200th show celebration,” Stewart wrote in a statement on social media at the time.
“Most people can deal with strep throat, but obviously not me. I’m absolutely gutted. I’ve been waiting for this concert for so long.”
Stewart has previously admitted that his 80th birthday in January hasn’t completely changed his outlook on life.

“I know my days are numbered, but I have no fear,” Stewart previously stated American Sun. “We all have to go through it at some point, so we’re all in the same basket.”
He added, “I’m going to enjoy myself as much as I can these last few years. I say something – maybe another 15. I can do that easy mate, easy.”
“I’m not the same as I was in the 70s and 80s and I can’t stay up all night, drunk and crazy and still sound the same,” he said. “Nowadays I have to protect my voice before and after every show.”
