Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti says his counterpart in Manchester City Pep Guardiola was deliberately underestimating the English team’s hopes of reaching the Champions League last.
The European Champions are 3-2 in City, who fought this season and won fourth in the Premier League, before the second round match on Wednesday in Santiago Bernabeu.
After Newcastle crushed 4-0 on Saturday, Guardiola said that City has only 1 percent chance of the European Cup winners 15 times.
“Don’t really think that, I will ask him before the game-Do you really think you have a 1 percent chance?” Ancelotti said at a press conference on Tuesday.
“He really thinks they have a greater chance … We don’t think we have a 99 percent chance.
“We believe that we have a small feature that we have to benefit from, and try to play the same game that we created in the first station, which went well.”
Guardiola won three titles in Laja and Tirin in the Champions League in his time with Real Madrid’s competitors in Spain, Barcelona.
What is the latest on Spanish referees at Real Madrid?
Ancelotti also repeated his frustration with Spanish referee, following some controversial decisions that followed against his team in the last Laliga matches.
Ancelotti said he was more comfortable in the Champions League referee.
Ancelotti said: “Statistics speak for themselves, in Europe, there is less controversy in this sense, and there are less Vary’s lower interventions,” Ancelotti said.
“VAR only interferes when it is necessary, and the Champions League is usually characterized by the best referees from every country, so the quality is very high in this sense.”

Is Bellingham available after the red card against Osasuna?
Jude Bellingham International in England was sent to the opposition during the 1-1 draw in Osasuna on Saturday in Laja, but the resulting comment does not apply in the Champions League.
Federico Valverde, his teammate, said that he does not want the midfielder to change his ways.
“What I want is players who leave their soul on the field, in this case with Jude in the last game, I always want to be like this,” Valverde told reporters.
“Jude is a player who offers the character, who always wants to win, who always wants to fight.
“This time he got a red card, but I like to give everything, care for him … We have to remain united as a team.”
Real Madrid team news
Ancelotti confirmed at his press conference before the match that defender Antonio Rudiger was appropriate to start her holders after the injury, but Lucas Vazukez will be ready for the seat.
Manchester City team news
Erling Haland is scheduled to face real, although there is a severe blow to victory against Newcastle.
The attacker has been brought to some time after he took a blow during the game, but Guardiola says he expected the attacker to be decent.
Face
The teams faced each other 16 times, with real young people as winners on six occasions.
The city was not there to compensate for the numbers, because they got victory in five of the meetings.
Although City did not beat Real in the last three games, the Guardiola team won the goals away when both sides were moved together in this competition in the Champions League in the city two seasons ago.
Cityzens only won their six trips to Madrid, which came as a way to win 2-1 in 2020.
