R Madhavan reveals how he protected his marriage when his wife was insecure about his female fan following.

He recently opened up about his happy married life with Sarita. R. Madhavan spoke to lawyer Vandana Shah. She is currently handling her client Saira Banu who recently announced her decision to divorce AR Rahman. He revealed that his wife Sarita was insecure when he decided to make his debut as an actor. He said he is an actor and is being hailed as a chocolate boy, and girls like him. He added that this would create an insecurity for the woman and the presence of this insecurity is enough to destabilize the marriage. R. Madhavan revealed that he always thought that everything would be fine and they always had a joint account of everything. So he also decided to have a joint account so that if Sarita continues to feel insecure, she can look at the joint account that belongs to both of them and they are equal signatories on it.

He adds that this is how the marriage will work and is a way of saying that he trusts her and she should trust him too. He explained how several financial decisions can change a couple’s married life. He and Sarita jointly own whatever properties, cars.

R. Madhavan and Sarita got married in 1999 and have a son, Vedant.
