Share a summary of the pension celebrations of the pilot. Less than 22 years after the Air Force, he did so!
I started this post several times and I have a lot to say, so I ended up dividing it into two functions: the amazing summary of the pilot’s military profession and everything we did to celebrate + my thoughts and my experience with military life.
This is the day we were excited for a while, and we are so grateful that many friends and family managed to celebrate with us.
A picture of many people we love and who came to celebrate with us:
The pilot retired two weeks ago, and we had a full weekend to celebrate this important teacher. The family started flying on Wednesday afternoon and evening, so we signed drinks and Zenberger here at home. On Thursday, we had a Picky Family Party in Corbett’s with a lot of applications and some friendly pickbeall competition. We went back here for dinner, and it was the big day.
He had the standard “Fini Trip”, which is your last journey in the swarm. He led four of his close friends about Tuxon, shot the gun several times, and we managed to go to the flight line to see the ground. Everyone chanted longing in the sky of the area, it was very emotional.
He carried out the taxpayer for the last time, and waved everyone, Pistol style.
One of his close friends, his crew from Vigas, came to become his crew leader.
We sprayed it with water and champagne,
Take a million pictures
(I love these women so much)
(Best Friends of the Pilot since he was 7 years old)
Then I went inside to the official party.
I was not completely sure how to strengthen his amazing career in a short party, but they did an incredible job. Short version: He had 3400 hours in A-10, four post operations, 7/2 years of teaching at the A-10 School, a bronze star and multiple service medals. He was a trained, and recruited pilot (he can give horseback riding to other pilots), combat and rescue search, and anterior air control unit.
Even with all his accomplishments on paper, I must really see the scenes of everything he did as a squadron over the past three years. He has always been on the phone to check and sort problems, on his computer throughout the night, and care for everyone in the swarm. He helped others through severe disease and huge changes in life, and helped those to find new opportunities and employment, write prizes, helped retire and transformations, and provided constant support for squadron. He did all this while working hard to try to balance everything with family life.
It was an honor to be by his side, and I am proud of his achievements and leadership.
After the ceremony, it was the time of the party! We went to the Squadron tape where we had food by Hawaiya Bruce (a poem for the roots
(He had all the stains of each swarm was part of it)
And they did some awards inside.
Everyone went home to relax and re -assemble, then we made an open house in Three Canyon, a local beer garden with live music. I thought that friends and family would appear and say hello and leave when they wanted (especially because we were on the basis of most of the day), but all our friends appeared and closed with us. It was an epic.
The next day, I planned some optional events for friends and family who were in the city: a picnic in Sabino Canyon,
Basketball game in P (you could not miss club games because it is in a championship),
And dinner in Charro.
For our 25 -year -old group, El Charro really went further. I booked the reservation two months ago, and they were in the back room with a specific list.
Children’s table:
Everyone obtained powers, goucamouli, salsa, potato chips, green cheese chips, then they had an option of intrada, taco sandwiches or completeness. We have made Margarita’s tables for tables and everything was very easy, very new, and very good. It was the perfect way to get rid of the weekend!
I had some questions about what the pilot would do now after he retired from the Air Force. It takes the next two months, then returns to the world of commercial aviation. Currently, he enjoys some X-Box that he deserves with his friends, an additional venue, and takes it easily. After many years of lifestyle of high stress, I am very happy because he gets a chance to relax a little.
xoxo
