Megan Fox has recently invested in a lavish new home, splurging $8 million on a luxurious Los Angeles property.

The purchase comes amid her split from her longtime partner, Machine Gun Kelly, with whom she is expecting a child.

According to TMZ, sources say the pair had not been living together over the past year, and the “Jennifer’s Body” actress had been renting her home since then.

Although MGK bought a home years ago, it is said that Fox was concerned about the safety of staying there and chose to live on her own because he always had guests over.

She is now ready to settle down in one place and will soon move into her newly purchased home. MGK is not expected to move in with her after Fox recently called it quits on their 5-year romance over his alleged infidelity.

The 38-year-old actress reportedly bought her new home before they broke up, but according to reports, they never planned to stay together because they had “never been a good match living together.”

According to TMZ, Fox broke up with the “Hotel Diablo” rapper because she “found material on MGK’s phone that was upsetting, and it made her want him to leave the trip early.”

The pair were on a trip to Vail, Colorado, over Thanksgiving weekend but had to cut short the trip when her suspicions were confirmed that he was texting other women “behind her back.”

“When they went away for the Thanksgiving holiday, she became suspicious and decided to go through his phone,” a source told Page Six.

The insider added that Fox “found text messages involving other women and decided she was done” with MGK, born Colson Baker.

Fox is said to have always “had trust issues” with him because of “past behaviors.”

However, she decided to stay put and work to “rebuild her trust with Colson and was excited to grow their family together.” Still, his alleged infidelity made her end their relationship regardless.

“Megan is a strong, independent woman and doesn’t need a man in her life,” the insider added.

Amid reports that Fox was “distraught” and “blindsided” by her split from MGK, it is now reported that an unlikely ally in her ex-husband’s fiancé has been supporting her through this phase.

According to the Daily Mail, sources say Fox’s ex-husband, Brian Austin Green’s fiancé Sharna Burgess, has been helping her navigate the “painful” split from the rapper.

The insider noted that Burgess cares “deeply” about the “Transformers” actress and has been offering her a shoulder to lean on amid her pregnancy.

“Brian and Sharna know what Megan has been through and is going through, and they both care about her deeply,” a source told the news outlet. “She is the mother of Brian’s kids, who are also Sharna’s soon-to-be stepchildren.”

“Sharna knows how difficult being pregnant can be and has been lending her support to Megan,” the source continued. “She genuinely cares and feels for her. Breakups alone are so painful, but breaking up while pregnant is even more so.”
