The host Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning And Lenny Wilson The 2024 Country Music Association Awards opened with a bang.

Bryan and Manning, both 48, and Wilson, 32, delivered a monologue full of jokes and advice during the awards show on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. For Wilson’s first time hosting, she shared that she turns to her peers for some sage advice.
“I stepped in and told Lenny to do what I’ve done my whole career,” Brian said. “When you’re in a tizzy, shake that butt!”
Meanwhile, Manning counters with some more helpful suggestions, taking a dig at Bryan.
“Just smile, have fun and don’t listen to a word Luke Bryan says. Really,” quipped the former football player.
Both men also recognized Wilson for winning big at last year’s awards show, including the coveted Entertainer of the Year prize. After Bryan took home the ridiculous award, he said it was “all the way down there” – to which Wilson agreed.
“Just like I’m hosting you two here,” she teased.
Bryan has been hosting the CMA Awards since 2021 when he hosted the 55th annual ceremony solo. Manning later added Bryan as a co-host for the 2022 and 2023 events, the year Wilson made his debut in the role. After the trio were announced as co-hosts in September, they each expressed their excitement for the opportunity.
“I couldn’t be more excited to host the CMA Awards with Luke and Peyton this year,” Wilson said in a statement at the time. “It’s an incredible honor and something I’ve always dreamed of doing.”

In an interview with ABC at the time, Wilson explained her gratitude for hosting the awards show.

When asked if Manning would show off his vocal talents during the broadcast, Wilson openly teased his colleague. “Well, I heard Peyton sing. Um, did you hear Peyton sing?” he sneered. “I love you, buddy. But um, we might have to leave it up to Luke!”
