In a series of videos posted to his Instagram Story on Monday, the reality TV star and entrepreneur gave fans a sneak peek at the new Tesla CyberCab and Optimus AI robot recently introduced by founder Elon Musk. .
Kardashian posted a video of herself playing rock-paper-scissors with Optimus, a human-sized AI robot that Musk promises can “take care of your kids” or help around the house. . “The CyberCab is crazy. It looks like the rims on my silver CyberTruck,” she says in the video, referring to the Tesla truck she owns. “Wait so you get in and there’s no driver?”
Someone can be heard confirming off-screen, “There is no driver.”
Kardashian’s videos ended after showing the interior of the cybercab. It’s unclear if she plans to buy a car or a robot, but she’s been a supporter of Musk and Tesla in the past, posting with a customized cyber truck shortly after their unveiling.
Tesla is reportedly testing its Robotaxis service with its employees in the San Francisco area. While autonomous cars operated by rival Waymo are on the road, driving for paying passengers in several cities, Tesla’s robotaxi plans are still in the works.
Musk has promised that the robotaxis will be affordable, in the region of $30,000, when it hits the market. But the exact timeline is vague.
