The iPhone 16E, an Apple SE Apple SE alternative, has a lot of features that make it a good deal, from the A18 chip to the fact that it already comes with the OLED screen. But flagrant neglect on its specifications paper is meaningless: Why does this phone of $ 599 not contain Magsafe?
Although it looks very similar to iPhone 14, the use of iphone 16 ingredients, the iPhone 16e does not support Magsafe or fast wireless charging. Apple expects the iPhone 16E to be happy with the same wireless charging speeds as the iPhone SE was released in 2022, and the simple advantage of using the USB-C port instead of the lighting port.
The lost Magsafe feels strange from iPhone 16e because the feature was given for years at this stage. Apple Magsafe has presented to its smartphones with iPhone 12 as a magnetic supplement and a standard shipment, and it has been included in every phone since then. Magsafe borrows the name of the magnetic conductors on the Apple laptops, but with some major differences. Magsafe on iPhone means that you have a strong compact magnet that allows your phone to comment on cases, governorates, governors and positions, without any additional pieces. When you receive fees on Magsafe, you will also get faster charging speeds, which collides with things from 7.5 watts to shipping up to 25 w
And most importantly, the use of the magnet to direct the charger directly to charge the files greatly removes the possibility of a phone on a charger but is not already charged. This is likely to be one of the main causes that make Magsafe build in the wider wireless charging standard QI2 – it makes it all more convenient.
This does not really explain the reason for leaving it from the iPhone 16e. The company’s definition of what makes the “Pro” feature always in a state of flow, often leaves the features or ingredients to justify a lower price. But Apple and its partners are likely to sell a lot of Magsafe accessories, don’t Apple want to sell it to iPhone 16e owners as well?
Interesting wrinkles in all this is the Qi2, which has been available for phone makers for use since 2023, but has not seen widespread dependence outside the Apple phones. Samsung, the company that must have more than enough money to work QI2 in pioneers, provides instead a case you can buy if you want to use Qi2 shipping on Galaxy S25. The other Android makers are not better: you will not find Qi2 on Pixel 9, Motorola Razr+ or Galaxy Z Flip and Fold 6. Qi2 or Magsafe may be more expensive (or difficult) to include than what appears, and Apple was generously this time. This may make a decision not to support the standard more logical. But this does not change the fact that iPhone 16e’s lack of Magsafe is very annoying.
