The beauty of podcast is that anyone can do this. It is a rare way that is easy to make as much as it consumes. As such, there are no two people who do so completely in the same way. There is a large collection of venues and software open to potential Podcaster, so the settings operate the Gamut from NPR studios to Skype USB platforms (which has become the last some kind of backwardness during the epidemic).
This week, we talked to Judy Avirgan, who participated in the harassment “Summer album / Winter album” With the man of the American independent rock band The Hold Steady, Craig Vin. Each episode of Avirgan and Finn finds whether a classic record should be classified as “Summer album” or “Winter album”.
Avirgan- who previously hosted offers for Al-Radda, TED, Fivethirtyeight, and ESPN-about its chosen preparation in the podcast. Here he is in his own words:
“Even when I worked at ESPN/FiveTyeight, I always had a home registration. Since his departure – which happened to coincide with the beginning of the epidemic – I made the registration studio on my basement. It is actually a studio apartment kitchen on the basement, so just outside the frame, Behind some curtains, it is a refrigerator (not available), sink, and a lot of tanks.
“But I hung tons of curtains, soft, scattered things around, and put some sound moisture panels. I think it is now somewhat comfortable and warm. My MIC is a R27N/D electric device, which is a $ 500 microphone.
To clarify: I do not achieve Re27 money. We bought this microphone when I was hosting 30 for 30 years. On a response, I am not writing a follow -up. During the past five years it is a very warm microphone, but it is giant.
“When I am on the road, I fill the AT2020-Usb+, which is connected directly on my computer and I can get the tracking from anywhere-usually under the blanket in a hotel wardrobe, which is a natural home in PodCaster.

“I run my microphone through Focusrite Scarlett 2I2, which is a simple but strong interface that allows me to control my microphone levels and direct it directly to my computer, where I often join people over zooming or Riferside. I always register a backup file Local using Hindenburg, which I then save to Dropbox.
“The only place that deviated from the model PodCaster 101 collection in my headphones. Everyone has Sony MDR-7506, and I have made through my fair share of these, but I really love NTH-100 headphones. It’s just a little more comfort, and looks a little, So far, the filling has not collapsed in the way the filling on Sony work, which resulted in finding small black spots in Their ears after registration.

“Like a lot of Podcaster, I was doing more and more video things recently. I used Decriptive for years, but with the integration of sound and video worlds, I do everything in all its editing at this stage. I make social videos for our conversations to”This dayAnd “and”Summer album / winter album“But also the original things that I was playing on Instagram.
“I am doing a series every week where I am Try guessing the address From the New Yorker cover this week, it was registered directly in Decrology and trained it in 20 minutes using a template you have built. Decript – I am a big fan. It is very versatile, and it is good to work with a program that seems to give foolishness about what PodCaster wants, instead of Protols.
“I assume that I had to think about my visual preparation for a good amount as well. I bought the webcam recommended by Wirecturt, but frankly I am the best look of MacBook camera, so I usually use it. In my background, I put some books to prove that I know how Reading; Fake from IKEA.
“I prevented opinion so that I do not think people can even see that the plants are present; but I love to know they exist, and they will always be there, because of the plastic forever.”
We have previously asked others to host our favorite podcasts to highlight their workflow – the equipment and programs they use to accomplish the task. The list includes so far:
