Christina Hall admits that filming her new reality series, “The Flip Off,” with her ex, Josh Hall, was anything but fun.
The home renovation expert and her estranged husband were set to star alongside her first husband, Tariq El Moussa, and his new wife, former “Sailing Sunset” star Heather El Moussa.
When Christina and Josh filed, filming was already underway on the new HGTV show. Divorce documents In July, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

“I feel like I wasn’t flashy, to try not to make him feel weak. But, who wants to live like that?”
The “Christina on the Coast” television personality admitted that “it wasn’t fun” filming with her former realtor.

“I didn’t enjoy filming with him,” he said. “So, after being separated, to be honest, it’s much easier and better in every way.

“It would have been hard to film that show – jealous of Tariq, not liking … our dynamic because Tariq and I have our own dynamic and some might call it flirty. To me it’s like a sibling.”

Tariq and Christina were married for seven years before finalizing their divorce in 2018. They have two children together.
Josh’s absence from the set was noted positively by some.

“I don’t want to be rude, but it’s good to see him go,” Heather said.

Tariq pointed out, “In the beginning, she was going through it, but she recovers really quickly. You can just tell. Her energy is back. She’s happy, she’s about life. Excited she’s working.”
Christina agreed with Tariq, saying, “It’s true. I’ve been telling him that things have been bad for at least a year, maybe 18 months, so this wasn’t news to him.”

When rumors surfaced that Christina’s other ex-husband, Ant Anstead, would appear in the series, Tariq was more likely to react than his wife.
“I think you would, yes,” Tariq said, while Heather teased, “You’ll have to find out.”

Ant and Christina finalized their divorce in June 2021. The former couple share custody of their 5-year-old son, Hudson.
As for Tariq and Christina’s relationship as friends and co-parents to their two children, the two offered words of wisdom.
“Healing yourself is the first step, and then healing the broken relationships of the past is the second step,” Tariq said.
