Last Sunday and Monday we saw our first good rain of the season, totaling over 2 inches. On Tuesday there was some residual rain but I was able to sneak in an easy 30 minute ride. Later in the day I took a short trip upright. I also did an upper body workout that day which was good. I do a lot of back and hip PT exercises as part of those workouts, and I want to strengthen all my stabilizing muscles so I’m less likely to get sciatica.
Yesterday was sunny and clear and I went for a 70 minute cruise lying down, then 50 minutes upright. I threw in 8 intervals of standing fast riding. This is a good way to get your heart rate up without putting pressure on your glutes, as they are still a little sore from my recent adventures.
