Father Time remains undefeated Mike Tyson vs. Jack Paul.

On Friday night, November 15th, Most Valuable Promotions hosted an epic event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas as 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer Jack Paul took on former two-time World Heavyweight Champion ‘Iron’ Mike. Defeated Tyson by unanimous decision.

The strategy for building and marketing this competition was effective. Millions of fans tuned into Netflix hoping to see Mike Tyson, a veteran fighter, but instead saw a way past the Hall of Fame boxer in his prime who was struggling to go the distance.

Mike Tyson vs. Jack Paul was originally scheduled for July 20, but two months before the fight, Tyson suffered a health problem. Tyson developed an ulcer during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles.

Tyson experienced nausea, light-headedness, and vomited blood in the plane’s bathroom. After treatment at the hospital, Tyson’s doctor advised him to take a few weeks off from training. Due to Tyson’s ulcer flare-up, his fight against Jack Paul was postponed and rescheduled for November 15.

When Mike Tyson resumed his training, there were red flags, but Tyson’s die-hard fans ignored them. For example, instead of posting extended clips of Tyson training, his team will post short snippets of training sessions.

That didn’t sit well with the group of people who were critical of the Tyson vs. Paul fight because they wanted to see an extended video to gauge the ability level of the 58-year-old Tyson. Another troubling red flag was the absence of archery.

Once again critics of the Tyson vs. Paul fight wanted to see Tyson spar and see how he responds to having an active opponent in front of him. A video of Tyson sparring was released a week before the fight, but in the video Tyson’s sparring partner did not attempt to land a punch.

On fight night, anticipation levels were high as celebrities and many boxing fans poured into AT&T Stadium. Back in his prime when Mike Tyson walked to the ring it was a scary sight, but on the night of November 15th it was sounding grandpa as Tyson walked to the ring.

Despite the fact that the ring walk looked different, when Tyson entered the ring it felt like 1988, but after the first round fight fans realized it was 2024. In the opening round, Tyson charged from the front, trying to do something big. .

With Tyson inside, Jack Paul moved to clinch and hold. As the referee separated the two fighters, Paul used his jaw as he circled the ring. Later in the opening round, fight fans got excited when Tyson landed a left and right combination.

As the match continued, Jack Paul controlled the fight with movement, using his jaw and occasionally throwing right hands. In Mike Tyson’s mind, he wanted to take the fight to Paul, but his body failed him. Tyson was standing on tired legs, and as a result, the 58-year-old was unable to go the distance.

A stunned crowd at AT&T Stadium watched as they saw the iconic Mike Tyson inside the ring, looking like a shell of his former self. Meanwhile, Jack Paul continued to execute his game plan, and he won by unanimous decision.

After the fight, many celebrities expressed their opinion on social media. Some questioned why the fight was allowed to happen, and others were angry at Jack Paul. WBA World Lightweight Champion Geronta “Tank” Davis posted:

“To the bozo who shared the ring with Mike.. you’re a total bozo to him, and you’re not done…”

Mike Tyson will always be a popular boxing legend and this loss to Jack Paul will not tarnish his mystique. The Tyson vs. Paul bout was a penny-pincher that was painful to watch, as once again we witnessed the fact that no matter how great an athlete you were in your prime, Father Time was invincible. There is defeat.
