On Saturday, Illon Musk, the billionaire head of the Ministry of Governmental efficiency in the Trump administration, threatened to launch any federal worker who failed to explain the work they accomplished during the previous week.
The threat, issued in a poster on the social media site in Musk, was made a few hours after US President Donald Trump published on his social media network that Dog should be more aggressive in her attempts to reduce and reshape the federal workforce.
“All federal employees will soon receive an e -mail that requests to understand what was accomplished last week,” MUSK was published on X, who was previously working on Twitter. “The failure of the response will be considered resignation.”
As of Saturday evening, emails were sent to federal agencies, including the Financial Consumer Protection Office, the National Oceanic and Country Administration and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, with the subject line “What did you do last week?”
The email, which Reuters sees, asks the employees to respond to the email they received with five points, summarizing “what you accomplished at work last week” and copy their managers.
Email gives employees until 11:59 pm East on Monday to respond.
It is unclear what is the legal basis that Musk must end federal workers if they fail to respond to his request, which comes amid a quick and controversial Trump administration to reduce government spending by reducing federal workforce.
The process, led by Musk and his young assistants in Dujij, has led to random launchs caused by many errors and forced many agencies to quickly rehabilitate vital employees, such as those working on nuclear safety, defense and power generation.
The first wave of job discounts targeted workers who are easier to shoot, such as “testing” employees in the job for less than two years or those who started new roles within an agency.
Random shooting led to the end of DOGE people whose jobs are not funded by taxpayers and have begun the anger of people throughout the country who are concerned about the loss of services, as well as the impact of federal job losses on local economies.
Trump has repeatedly talked about Musk as the DOGE functional leader, who is not a department at the cabinet level, but the White House said one in court earlier this month that Musk had no authority over DOGE and was not an employee of the program.
