In a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Dorit Kemsley addressed her relationship with former cast member Teddi Mellencamp, following scrutiny over an Instagram repost. The discussion arose after Garcelle Beauvais questioned Dorit’s decision to share a video from Teddi, despite previously downplaying their friendship.

Garcelle Beauvais Questions Dorit’s Actions

Garcelle Beauvais, 58, confronted Dorit, 48, about the inconsistency between her actions and statements regarding Teddi. Garcelle pointed out that Dorit had reposted a video from Teddi’s Instagram, promoting her father John Mellencamp’s show, which seemed contradictory to Dorit’s earlier claims about the nature of their relationship.

In response, Dorit clarified her stance, stating, “I wouldn’t categorize Teddi and I as good friends. I didn’t say that we weren’t friends.” She further explained that she was unaware of any issues until informed by Kyle Richards. “I didn’t even know up until that point that Teddi was mad at me until Kyle told me that she was sour about me not defending her at BravoCon. I had no idea, so, that was a shock to me,” Dorit admitted during the December 10 episode of the RHOBH: After Show.

Motivations Behind the Instagram Repost

Dorit elaborated on her decision to share Teddi’s post, interpreting it as a promotional gesture. “It felt like, okay, she’s promoting her father’s upcoming tour,” she explained. “And, you know, I have zero [issues] with reposting it.”

Kyle Richards and Erika Jayne Weigh In

Kyle Richards, 55, and Erika Jayne, 53, offered their perspectives on the situation. Erika suggested that Dorit’s repost was motivated by self-interest, stating, “She looked good and she was with John Mellencamp.” Kyle concurred, adding, “Thank God Dorit Kemsley was helping John Cougar Mellencamp.”

Kyle also noted that the repost indicated a closer relationship between Dorit and Teddi than previously acknowledged. “You were invited … with her dad and brought up on stage because you are friends,” Kyle stated. “So she kind of shot herself in the foot with that one.”

Erika reinforced this view, asserting, “They are friends … We’re all friends with Teddi, whether you like it or not.” Kyle also recalled that Dorit had previously hosted a baby shower for Teddi at Buca di Beppo.

Sutton Stracke’s Stance on Teddi Mellencamp

Contrary to the sentiments expressed by Kyle and Erika, Sutton Stracke, 53, made it clear that she does not share a friendship with Teddi. “I will never be friends with her. Because I don’t think… Because… just because,” she declared.

Garcelle Beauvais Reflects on Dorit Kemsley’s Actions

Reflecting on the situation, Garcelle expressed her confusion over Dorit’s actions, labeling them as hypocritical. “We go from Dorit saying she’s not friends with Teddi, and that night, she reposts a video of Teddi talking about her dad has a performance. That’s such a hypocrite. Just two minutes ago you were saying you’re not friends with Teddi. Why would you repost that?” she questioned.

Dorit Kemsley’s Response to Garcelle Beauvais

In response to Garcelle’s remarks, Dorit suggested that Garcelle harbored negative feelings towards her. “When Garcelle interjected the night before, I turned around to Garcelle and had said, ‘It’s no secret that you don’t like me.’ When someone already has made it abundantly clear that they don’t like you, that they have a problem with you, that they’re looking to find fault, of course they’re gonna jump on any bandwagon,” she noted.
