Shakur Stevenson reacted predictably to his heir to the throne, William Zepeda’s Shakur-esque clown tune Farmer’s Saturday night victory, labeling him “Food.”

Zepeda cracked the code.
What we saw tonight was Zepeda easily dominating a tween (33-7-1, 8 KOs), breaking the Shakur code, winning a ten-round split decision at The Venue in Riyadh, a There should have been a massive victory. Zapida threw. 1087 punches And landed at 527.
They were mostly power shots, and Farmer looked like he had lost by the eighth round. He had nothing left and was clinging to life. The white flag of surrender was up, and he basically surrendered.
Farmer was mostly trying to hold down Zapida but was taking a lot of shots from the Mexican fighter on the inside. That was his game plan. Even attempts to neutralize Zapida’s work by excessive clenching did not work for the farmer.
It was all he could do to avoid being knocked out. If Farmer hadn’t used this negative tactic, he wouldn’t have made it past the sixth round because he was overmatched on offense.
The judges gave it to Zepeda by score:
– 95-94 and 95-94 Zepeda
– 95-94 Farmers
Kisan fought well enough to win the fourth when he scored a flash knockdown. If you look at that round, Zepeda dominated until the knockdown and then got up and worked hard, beating former IBF super featherweight champion Farmer back and forth.
Zepeda (32-0, 27 KOs) has his laser sights set on WBC lightweight champion Shakur (22-0, 10 KOs), targeting the Mayweather-style throwback fighter for a Feb. 22 event in Riyadh. have been
Those two fighters will meet next unless Shakur’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, chooses to replace Zepeda after what he did to Farmer tonight. I wouldn’t blame the deer one bit. Zepeda revealed that he had no problem solving the Shakur code with his victory over it Knock versionfarmer.
Shakur sees Zepeda as a threat.
Shakur’s labeling of Zepeda as “food” makes it clear that New Jersey residents consider it a threat. A loss to Zepeda would end Shakur’s hopes of fighting Grunta Davis as he would be fired. First of all, Tank is not eager to fight a runner, and if he loses to Zepeda, there will be no reason for him to fight him.
It will take years for Shakur to bounce back from his loss to Zepeda, and it’s doubtful he can since he already showed against Edwin De Los Santos that he’s not at 135.
Shakur is a fish out of water and light, lacking the strength and bravery to fight in the trenches. He would never try to fight Zepeda the way Kisan did tonight, standing on the front lines fighting fire with fire. You can’t beat Zepeda by running. The farmer knew this. That’s why he didn’t try to run away like past Zepeda victims.
“If I were to dictate the pace, it would probably be too much. That’s what a lot of young fighters don’t know. When you have a guy who likes to come forward, you’ve got to push him back. Because that’s the only thing they know, so we beat them,” Tevin Farmer told DAZN after his loss to Zepeda.
Zapida vs Kisan Battle Stats
- William Zepeda threw a ridiculous amount of 1087 punches, connecting on 527 for a 48 percent connect rate.
- Farmer threw 737 with 361 landings for a 49 percent connect rate.
“I think we saw the best Tune Farmer tonight. DAZN’s Sergio Mora said that’s what you need to do to beat him, and he still came up short.

Zapida throws non stop punches I’ve never fought a pressure fighter that doesn’t block a puncher, it’s been fun!
