Britney Spears marked her 43rd birthday with a surprise trip to sunny beaches.

On December 2nd, the pop princess landed in Mexico for a fun vacation to celebrate her milestone.

A source close to Gimme More singer explained why she chose an international outing.

“Britney treated herself to a fun vacation for her birthday. She loves Mexico and can’t wait to celebrate in the sun,” they told People magazine.

The Toxic crooner, who is known by her love for tropical getaways, was joined by her close pals to the holiday spot in a private jet.

“She jetted off to Mexico with friends,” the insider told the outlet.

This is not the first time Spears has been to Mexico. Previously she celebrated her 40th birthday in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with her then-fiancé, Sam Asghari.

Outing with her friends was also surprising as the musician spent her big day without her family, unlike the last year when she celebrated with her mother and brother.

Giving an update of celebration the Grammy-winning artist, posted a carousel of two videos, with flower emoji.

In the first clip she joked about her age, saying, “it’s my birthday, I’m not turning 42 I’m turning five this year, and I have to go to kindergarten tomorrow.”

It is uncertain that whether the video was made a year ago or is a fresh piece as the singer has turned 43rd.

While the second clip displayed a “very cute baby, baby cake” topped with strawberries and encased in a chocolate lattice.

The birthday also marked a major occasion as Spears’ declared herself single after officially finalizing divorce from Sam Asghari.
