To test portable air conditioners, we heat a climate control room to 92 degrees. After the room reaches 92 degrees, we turn off the heat and occupy the frequent portable current to the cold mode, with a medium fan speed and a specific temperature of 68 degrees. We run the unit for two hours and 30 minutes and repeat the same test twice per unit AC. Then we use the data collected during the tests to measure two things:
- How constantly the mobile air conditioner keeps the room within 5 % of 68 degrees
- How stable is in the borders of the room within the 5 % of the lowest individual temperature of the frequency current unit
Once we get this information, we compare the results across the units to find out those that have maintained the specified temperature for the longest period of time. We also look at the units that have maintained the lowest individual temperature for the longest time. We have done so even if the unit did not reach 68 degrees at the designated time, we were able to track the continued maintenance of the lowest temperature it achieved. The higher the percentage, the better the unit.
When looking at performance, it is important to note that the units that we have tested do not have identical specifications, so direct performance comparisons are not the only thing that we take when you reach the list of the best portable air conditioners. We also look at the features of the unit and other options by referring to their prices and specifications to determine their total value.
