The Australian authorities raise the merciful about 90 of the wrongful killer whales that survived the ways of their ways on a remote beach.
A team of experts on the site said that the complex conditions made it impossible to memorize.
They are part of a pod of 157 whales that were on the beach near the Arthur River, in the northwest of the island. The rest died shortly after the way they were cut off.
Tasmania has seen a series of mass whale threads in recent years – including the worst country in 2020 – but the wrongful killer whales have not been cut off for more than 50 years.
Technically, fatal, fatal whales are one of the largest types of dolphins in the world, such as its own Orca names. It can grow up to 6 meters (19 feet) and weigh 1.5 tons.
The authorities said on Wednesday that the pods were cut off on the site for 24 to 48 hours, and the remaining animals were under severe pressure.
Joslin Flint, the local resident of the Australian broadcast, told the site that she had traveled to the site on Wednesday morning after her son Al -Qurna noticed while hunting sharks overnight.
“There are children … there are only families of them. Their eyes are open, they look at me, like” help. “
“It is very horrific.”
Marine biologist Chris Carlion said that the site – about 300 kilometers from the city of Lesston – is difficult to reach and transfer.
“This may be the most difficult site I have seen in 16 years of playing this role in Tasmania,” he said.
“We are talking with very rough lane, very slope, at the site. We can get the four -wheel drive engines there, but not much.”
The harsh conditions meant that returning animals to the sea at the location of the way was impossible, so the expert team tried to transfer two and reunite them, but it did not succeed.
“Animals cannot go out to go out. They continue to spin and return to the beach,” said Shelli Graham, of the garden and wildlife service in Tasmania.
With conditions in the next two days to be similar, veterinarians have taken experts for wildlife a “difficult” and “confrontation” of killing in the remaining whales.
Dr. Carlion said: “The more these animals are cut off, the more they suffer.
This dark task – which involves the shooting of animals – is expected to start on Wednesday but will continue on Thursday.
The authorities are still working on how to get rid of the bodies. The site contains an important cultural heritage for indigenous people, so the department’s official spokesman suggested earlier, “It may be a condition … Leaving nature runs its course.”
The authorities asked the audience to avoid the site, as the bush fires are burning near and limited roads.
More than 80 % of the Australian whales strands are held in Tasmania – often on its western coast.
The ways were cut around 470 experimental whales to the south in the port of Makari in 2020 About 350 of them died despite the rescue efforts. Another 200 was cut off in the same port in 2022.
Whales are very social mammals and are well known for being in groups because they travel in large coherent societies that depend on continuous communication.
There is a set of theories for the cause of beaches. Some experts say that animals can become bound after following the fish they hunt on the beach.
Others believe that an individual can accidentally lead full groups to the beach.
