On Thursday, the Israeli Defense Minister ordered the preparation of a plan to allow the “voluntary departure” of the population from Gaza, after US President Donald Trump relied on a wide condemnation of it to announce plans to take over the tape.
Defense Minister Israel Katz praised Trump’s announcement that the United States aims to control Gaza, and to resettle more than two million Palestinians who live there and turn lands into “Riviera in the Middle East.”
Katz said on X.
Katz said that his plan would include exit options across land crossings, as well as special arrangements to leave through the sea and air.
The displacement of the Palestinians is one of the most sensitive and explosive issues in the Middle East. The forced displacement or coercion of the population under the military occupation is a war crime, prohibited under the Geneva Conventions in 1949.
The Israeli strikes that have killed tens of thousands of people over the past 16 months forced the Palestinians to move repeatedly inside Gaza, in search of safety.
But many say they will never leave the pocket because they fear permanent displacement, such as “Nakba”, or a disaster, when hundreds of thousands of homes were stripped in the war at the birth of Israel in 1948.
Many of them were expelled or fled to Gaza, the West Bank and the neighboring Arab countries, including Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, where their descendants are still living in refugee camps. Israel breaks the account that was forced to go out.
Katz said that the countries that opposed Israel’s military operations in Gaza should be taken in the Palestinians.
He said: “Countries like Spain, Ireland, Norway, and others, which have settled the accusations and wrong demands against Israel regarding their actions in Gaza, are legally obligated to allow any of Gaza residents to enter its lands.”
“Their hypocrisy will be revealed if they refuse to do so. There are countries like Canada, which has an organized immigration program, which has already expressed a willingness to accept the residents of Gaza.”
Trump’s controversial idea, which has angered the Middle East, comes at a time when Israel and the armed group Hamas are expected to start talks in the second round of a fragile ceasefire plan to end nearly 16 months of fighting in Gaza.
The Katz plan will include exit options across land crossings, in addition to special arrangements to leave through the sea and air, as reported by the Israeli broadcaster.
Trump’s plan was condemned
Trump Dero is spinning on Wednesday because of his plan for Gaza Strip in Russia, China and Germany, which she said will strengthen “new suffering and new hatred.”
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s regional weights rejected the explicit proposal, and King Abdullah Jordan, who will meet Trump at the White House next week, said on Wednesday that he rejected any attempts to include the land and remove the Palestinians.
In a post at X, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Trump’s plan is part of Israel’s attempt to “completely survey the Palestinian people.”
Netanyahu says Trump’s plan is “great
But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that Trump’s proposal was “wonderful” and urged him to explore, even because he was not specified about what Trump believed that he was providing him.
Netanyahu said he did not believe that Trump suggested sending American forces to fight Hamas in Gaza, or that Washington would fund efforts.
“This is the first good idea I heard,” he added. “It is a great idea, and I think it should be followed up, examined, followed up and really doing, because I think it will create a different future for everyone.”
Hamas, which ruled the Gaza Strip before the war, said that Trump’s proposal is “ridiculous and ridiculous.”
Since January 25, Trump has repeatedly suggested that the Palestinians in Gaza should be taken by regional Arab countries such as Egypt and Jordan, an idea that the Arab countries and Palestinian leaders rejected. He did not give any details about his proposal to seize Gaza.
Trump’s assistants defended his proposal, but they retracted his elements after international condemnation.
Rights groups have been condemned as a suggestion of Trump’s ethnic cleansing that it should be displaced permanently, with the proposal of the United States’ acquisition of Gaza.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza says that the military attack of Israel on Gaza, which has now stopped stopping the shot, has killed more than 47,000 Palestinians in the past 16 months, says the Ministry of Health in Gaza, and has provoked charges of genocide and war crimes that Israel denies.
The attack has repeatedly displaced all the inhabitants of Gaza and caused a hunger crisis. The war arose by an attack led by Hamas on Israel, which killed 1,200 people and witnessed about 250 hostages.
