Banks’ mother and cousin filed a missing persons report with local police earlier this month to get a welfare check. The couple also held a press conference in which they sought the public’s help in finding the actress.
“The last text we got from her before her phone went off the grid was Oct. 30,” Banks’ cousin said. Daniel Tori Singh told KTLA on Nov. 12. “I won’t leave California until I find my cousin.”
In her latest interview, Banks addressed her family’s press conference and alleged that she is not close to Singh.
“You’re seeing two people right now: my mom and my cousin, who I haven’t spoken to in 10 years,” he said. Additional. “This is not someone I have a relationship with. We definitely don’t have a sister-sister relationship.
“In the past when I’ve tried to escape, that’s exactly what happens,” Banks continued. “For years, I’ve tried to set boundaries to feel safe and I’ve encountered resistance to say the least.”
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA on Nov. 13 that the banks are safely located in Texas. Singh also confirmed via Facebook that his cousin is safe.

According to Banks, she drove to a secluded town in Texas and turned off her phone to unplug. During the visit, she was able to meet a pastor, who was in town from Australia.
“I haven’t been gone for three weeks. I haven’t been missing for three weeks,” he announced. “I’m a grown woman. I don’t need to call my mom every day. I’m alive and you’ll be seeing a lot of me.
