The NBA postpones the Bucks-Pelicans game due to the historic snow storm in New Orleans

The NBA postponed the New Orleans Pelicans-Milwaukee Bucks game on Wednesday due to the historic snowstorm affecting the area.

With about a foot of snow falling from the storm, it made travel difficult as the usually warm city was not prepared to handle the elements.

The Bucks flew into town on Monday to weather the snowstorm, a day earlier than usual for a game against the Pelicans.

But with temperatures remaining in the 30s on Wednesday, authorities closed several major highways in metro areas and surface roads throughout the city were still covered in ice.

Schools and businesses across the region remained closed on Wednesday, with Louis Armstrong International Airport canceling all commercial departures due to the weather. Taking these factors into consideration, the NBA postponed the game, with no date currently set for the game to be completed.

The Bucks’ next game will be against the Miami Heat in Milwaukee on Thursday at 7:30 PM ET.

After that game against the Heat, the Bucks will go on a road trip to the West Coast, starting Saturday, and they won’t have another home game until February 2.

The Bucks are scheduled to face the Pelicans in the regular season finale at home on April 9.

On the other hand, the Pelicans are scheduled to play Friday and Saturday, making it difficult for the NBA to schedule the postponed game soon.

The Pelicans have struggled this season, standing at 12-32, the second-worst team in the Western Conference.

The Bucks have had much more success than the Pelicans, sitting in fourth place in the Eastern Conference at 24-17.
