One Tree Hill Alum Paul Tell Died at the age of 35.
“The most thoughtful, inspiring, driven, self-disciplined, loving human being passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024,” Teal’s colleague Emilia Torello announced via Instagram on Sunday, November 17. “Paul, you were my partner, my soon-to-be husband, my rock and my future.”
Although Torello did not share any details about Tell’s cause of death, he did say that he had been battling health issues.
“You filled my lungs with laughter, my stomach with butterflies and my heart with love,” she continued. “You were taken too soon, in a battle you fought bravely without fail.”

Torello’s post included a black-and-white photo of him and Teal. The actor smiled for the camera as Torello kissed him on the cheek.
“While a part of me died with you, I promise to fight as hard to find happiness in life as you fought to live every single day,” she wrote. “The world is lucky to have even had a moment with Paul Tell, and I am the luckiest person in it, because I got to call you mine. I will always love you.”

“My heart is heavy. Paul Tell was the kind of guy who lit up a room without trying,” Lenz, 43, wrote via Instagram on Sunday. “His bright smile, infectious laugh and kind heart made you want to be close to him.”
Lenz’s post included a video slideshow of him and Tell on stage for the 2006 musical adaptation. Notebook.
“He was shy and funny and so comfortable on stage. Wow. Like his second skin. You couldn’t take your eyes off him,” she gushes of working with Teal. “Later, I was roped in to direct an episode. One Tree Hill Where I will be casting a new recurring character, Josh – the sleazy movie star. With his sense of humor and willingness to dive fully into any character, Paul was perfect for the part. He was happy to work in any environment and was very generous.
Lenz then added One Tree Hill She and Teal were “in touch and close” and he wished she had reached out “more” to him.
“Now at 35, he took another train. He was too young to die. Too young. I’m tired,” she said. “Paul, your time here was like a summer romance for all of us who knew you, especially if only for one season. Explosive, passionate, deeply moving, and unforgettable. “
