Curtis Jones has made a surprise admission to Mohamed Salah, claiming he is not as good as the former Chelsea winger

Curtis Jones says Eden Hazard was a better player than his Liverpool team-mate Mohamed Salah.

Comparisons are often made between Hazard and Salah due to their similar, diminutive stature and the overall brilliance the pair have brought to the Premier League.

While Jones grew up watching Hazard and remains a huge fan, he says he would rather have Salah by his side.

The Liverpool player told TNT Sports ahead of tomorrow night’s Champions League match with Lille at Anfield: “I know it is [Hazard] He gets compared to Mo all the time. I’ve been in it with Mo.

“As a player I’ve seen him before [being] When I was a kid, I loved the game, I used to study it and I wanted to be like the player. I feel like Hazard was the right person. Every match I watched with him, I was impressed… This is football.”

Jones added: “As a footballer, is he better than Mo? In my opinion yes. But who would you rather have in your team? You would say Mo because he scores goals and makes assists for you.”

Jones’ ruling caused a stir on social media, prompting Jones to reiterate his view on who he would prefer to play alongside.
